"My name is Michael Gale and John St. John, a house master at Peter Symonds, was my uncle. We used to visit every so often and take a dip in the freezing pool. Do you remember him? His daughter and husband have just celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Chobham, England. My wife and I live in Winnipeg, Canada."
I received the above email from a fellow surfer, to which I sent a positive reply, if anyone would like to mail him. his email is firstname.lastname@example.org

A note to all and sundry - we Antipodeans have just been treated to a wonderful nostalgic hour by the Time Team dig in Hospital Field shown on Australia's ABC2, of particular note was the discovery in the Lepers hospital's chapel graveyard the possible remains of a female Symonds buried according to archival records in 1695 and a male possible her father( Dean Ebden Master of the College)in 1714. A reasobale amount of area film was also nostalgic and of course anything relating to this subject brought vivid memories of Doc's Divinity lectures. Hope my fellow Antipodeans managed to see it if not maybe a visit to the local ABC shop might be of value.
