'unlikely' members

Recently we have had a couple of instances of what I call 'unlikely' members joining. They have no connection with the school and join mainly for some commercial or other maybe suspect reason. I remove them as soon as I find out but the first message they write gets sent out to all members. I like to be as liberal as I can in running this list and will continue to allow joining without vetting but if anyone feels
that I should change the policy, let me know and we can think about it.
regards,

  1. Hi Jim und undere !!! ...
Yes, I have noticed a couple of 'unlikely' messages ... your present policy seems fine, however, my main fear is 'viruses' ( I am sure EO would have said that should be 'viri' or is is 'virii') ... I am sure 'likely' members will be happy with whatever action you deem necessary ...
    Take care ...

If we ever get to the state that my general email inbox is in - am I wrong or has the junk email situation got radically worse in recent weeks? - we'd have to tighten up.

Now we have more energy maybe we can contribute more.
