Re scotty1500's post in April 2008 about prefects
John Scott's original posting back in April 2008, attracted a couple of 'replies' this week (on February 17th.) ...
I have realised that the replies, although attached, probably won't be seen unless you go back to the original posting, so I thought I would TRY and bring it in to the 'present' time ... I will try to 'copy and paste' a reply from John Andrews in Canada and one from myself also ... hope it works !!! ... you'd better cross everything.

Masters
I am not sure if this will work !!!
Hopefully, I have attached a photo of a Masters who was at the School in 1954, whose name no-one can remember ... a couple of people have come up with a not very nice nickname, namely 'Bogbrush' ... there was a Mr. Laverty (Woodwork) at the School in the 40's, who was known as 'Bogs', but that is not the same person ...
Can anyone help please ? ... even 'guesses' or 'might be' could trigger someone's memory !!! ...
Thanks in anticipation ...

New Members
A WELCOME goes to all of you who have re-joined from the old MSN site ... we now number 51 ...
2 e-mails have gone out to all members on the old MSN site but there are still 139 out there who haven't re-joined us yet, so if any of you are talking to members of the old site, please give them a gentle nudge !
Just a thought ... each of us has probably joined the Group for slightly different reasons, but part of the reason for being here, I think for all of us, is the hope of catching up with old School Mates ... a lot of us (including myself) are using 'Nicknames' or ID's that don't reflect who we actually are, so, without a photo, or a bit about ourselves, it makes it hard for others to recognise us and for us to recognise others ...
Your ID is a personal choice and there is not a problem with that, but it might need a bit of thought if we are hoping to catch up with old mates ... over to you !!!
We realise that not all members are active in ANY Group, Club, Association, or whatever, but it is nice to be able to just 'Pop in from time to time to have a peep' and so catch up with the news of the Group ...
The site structure is very different to the MSN site, so it is only to be expected there will be a short period of time where everyone gets accustomed to what can be done and how to do it ... 'stick with it please' is the message and, once again, WELCOME ...
Keep smiling 'til the next time ...

Blogs
The members who are already on the new site, will notice I have changed the layout of the 'BLOGS' (Messages) in the belief it is more like the old site and is easier to see what people have written about ...
Please be aware that, apart from the very recent ones, virtually all of the Blogs (13 pages of them) that are currently showing are from our OLD site, so any links or instructions at the bottom of the page refer to MSN and are NO LONGER CURRENT ... Would like your feedback on the BLOG layout please ...
Thanks !!! ...
Keep smiling ...

Doug has successfully made the move
Well we seem to be up and running. Some questions though.
How do we make alterations to the welcome page? It was fairly easy on the old site but when I had a look on this site it seems that the managers have to use HTML! Something that I am not au fait with.
I have upgraded my membership to 'Premium' because it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I have also installed something called AutoUploader, again because it seemed like a good idea at the time. No sooner had I finished then it started uploading the whole of 'My Pictures'. Not a good idea.
