With the New Year now in full swing I write to see if any members of this website would be interested in joining the OSS. We hold various events throughout the year and members receive regular newsletters, college bulletins and a members handbook.

I thoroughly recommend joining the OSS. I did it a couple of years back, and wish I'd done it long ago. I regularly go to the dinners in London and Winchester; if I were into peculiar pastimes like golf, there'd be even more to do. A few masters from my own antediluvian days have turned up at these: Colin Harris, Steve White, Reggie Bray ... Even if you're in foreign parts, such as Scotland or the Isle of Wight, just having the mailings and the member's handbook is worth the membership, I reckon.
